MY EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR EXTENDED CARE, WAS WONDERFUL I HAD TO WORK WITH CLIENTS WITH ALZHEIMER'S AND DEMENTIA AND ALSO COLOSTOMY CARE. WHEN I FIRST STARTED I WORK WITH AN ELDERLY LADY SHE WAS FABULOUS SHE HAS ALZHEIMER'S . I WOULD MEAL PRE, SHOWER HER AND DRESS HER, REMIND HER OF HER MEDICATION TO TAKE. ALSO I WOLD HELP HER EXERCISE , AND DO PUZZLES. SHOW PICTURES OF HER FAMILY. AND COLOR WITH . AND PLAY CARDS SHE LOVED.I. WOULD EVERYTHING THAT WAS REQUIRED OF ME ON THE CARE PLAN. I ALSO WORK WITH A YOUNG MAN WHO WAS QUADRIPLEGIC I DID EVERYTHING FOR HIM SHOWER, DRESS, IRON HIS CLOTHES. PRE MEALS, CLEAN HOME. IN WORKING FOR THE ARBORS I ALSO LOVED I WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR ME. CLIENTS HAD ALZHEIMER'S DEMENTIA DIABETES AND OTHERS WERE ON DIALYSIS. ITS BEEN A WONDERFUL JOURNEY FOR ME. I WOULD HELP THEM SHOWER DRESS. TAKE TO THE BATHROOM. GIVE MEDICATION. IT'S BEEN. REWARDING FOR ME MAKE SURE THAT THEY WERE OK CARING FOR SOME. .YOU NEVER FORGET THEM THEY WERE A BIG PART OF MY LIFE..
