Caregiving is I think an honor to help individuals get a better quality of life being at home in their own homes. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to show a client how being at home can be fun, enjoyable and mostly safe for them. I am most proud of myself for a few reasons. Losing an excessive amount of weight. After a loss of a child I gained a large amount of weight and when I had my son, I was larger than life. But as years went by I needed to start taking care of myself. Have lost over 583 lbs in 33 years. Also achieving getting back up on my own raised my son and became a Licensed Nurse's Assistant with home care and nursing homes. Did many kinds of employment but always came back to nursing. My biggest passion is caring and helping people in need. It is a very fulfilling and important part of my life. When I'm not working, I spend my leisure time kayaking, walking/hiking, reading, being creative and taking care of myself and my home.
