I started off as an independent caregiver when my neighbor asked me to take care of their mother, and from then I found my deep passion for this career. For a few years I continued to care give independently, but then, in 2011, I decided to start working with a company to have more consistency with individuals I got to serve. Helping out my clients is so rewarding. I love getting to make them smile and laugh, along with helping their general well being, and keeping my clients safe. Throughout all these years of care giving, I have learned so much from my clients and each person I get to serve has made me a better helper. To me, this job is more than a job - It continually provides me with the opportunity to build connections and a community with my clients and their families. I began as a caregiver when my mother was terminally ill with lung cancer and took care of her until her passing.
