I first knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 15 years old. I started taking care of my great-grandmother in her home and absolutely loved every aspect of it, so I made it my career. My mother was an aide when I was younger and I always admired what she did and wanted to do the same. I love everything there is about being a caregiver, from the good days to the bad. I have a CD of my grandfather speaking about his life in the military. I cherish it. I'd be happy to make anything like that while I am taking care of a loved one for someone.
