Hello my name is Rebecca I got by Becca I been a care giver for 3 years almost 4 ..I started to care for my grandma for 2 months right after I had surgery for cervical cancer I was 3 weeks in to bed rest and grandma called she was looking at 4 to 6 months I came home to care for her . I love being a caregiver i never stop learning things ...I get to meet new people and hear they story of life and pass they Knowledge down. I love making my clients happy seeing them smile awesome my day

I became a STNA when I was 16 with the intended goal to make a difference in people's lives. For the last 7 years I've cared for a lot of amazing people and I continue to meet and care for residents with the same goal as when I started - to make a difference in people's lives and to be a light in the healthcare industry. Meeting people from all over, listening to their stories and helping them in a challenging time in their lives is something I'm very proud to say I do almost everyday.

I am going on my third year of college, and my third college as well. I am finishing up my surgical nursing degree at Marion Technical College with a Surgical Technician certification and a phlebotomy certification as well. I have spent time in caring for my grandmother while she was in and out of the hospital, and I will provide compassionate care to those who need. My job as a future nurse is to provide comfort and love to patients varying different health conditions. My ideal job profession in the future is to work in hospice as well. When I was younger, I had a heart disease and my life-long goal is to give back to nurses and patients with 110% passionate and sympathetic care.

Hello! I'm a 51 yr old female with 10+ years as a caregiver and Home Health Aide. Five of those years I was a personal caregiver to my parent with dementia/alzheimers. I started out as a state tested nurse aide in a nursing home with a memory care unit. My duties included bathing the residents, linen changing, feeding, denture care, personal hygiene, assistance with light exercise, etc. I then went on to become a home health aide and assisted Seniors in their own homes. This was my favorite part of caregiving and met many wonderful people. During my visits I would help them bathe, style their hair, trim nails, etc. I would also prepare healthy meals and provide companionship. I would perform light housekeeping and laundry services. I would provide transportation to doctors appointments and grocery shopping. My visits also included medication reminders, watering houseplants and feeding pets. I have cared for my own grandmother and my ex-fiancees. I am compassionate and enjoy spending time with elderly who need the attention and help.

Being a caregiver has been very rewarding in knowing I am able to make others feel good in their daily lives with assistance of daily living. They feel secure which makes me feel good and proud to assist. I have alot of compassion and heart for anyone.

I have been a caregiver for 3 years now and I can honestly say it is where my heart resides. I also just graduated with my Bachelors degree and plan on furthering my education to become an Occupational Therapist.
