I've laughed with my residents, I've cried, and I've sat with some towards the end of their lives. Talking with them and comforting them as they enter their final stages life. It's not an easy task, however, extremely detrimental for the comfort and peace of mind of the individual. I strive to be an essential and compassionate companion for each individual.
