What attracted me to be a caregiver was seeing the joy I would give my grandmother as I was growing up. She couldn't take care of herself and no one would be there for her besides me or my mother. I was able to work in many fast food restaurants and many elderly people would go in and needed help ordering and getting their meals I would make sure they were attended as they should and just seeing them smile would make my day. What I would enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I make a difference and I'm able those who need someone by their side to help them with their everyday needs. I am proud of having been able to reach one goal on having my management certification and also being a great mother.

I SEE AND TREAT MY PATIENTS LIKE IF THEY WERE MY OWN FAMILY BECAUSE I WENT THROUGH IT WITH MY GRANDFATHER. HE HAD 4 STROKES AND I WAS HIS PROVIDER I HELPED HIM WITH HIS THERAPY AND HELPED HIM WALK AGAIN. HE WAS HARD TO HANDLE SOMETIMES BUT I WOULDNT TRADE THE TIME SPENT WITH HIM FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD. I WOULDNT WANT SOMEONE ELSE COME AND RISK HIM BEING MISTREATED. IVE WORKED WITH ELDERLY PEOPLE IN NURSING HOMES AND SAW HOW THEY WERE TREATED AND I WOULD NEBER EVER TREAT SOMEONES LIKE THAT. I ALWAY PROVIDE THE BEST CARE POSSIBLE AND I HAVE PATIENCE AND FIGURE OUT A WAY TO GAIN THEIR TRUST AND MAKE THEM FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH ME. I KNOW HOW TO TALK TO THEM EVEN WHEN THEY ARE UPSET. IVE ALSO WORKED WITH CHILDREN. I HAVE EXPIERENCE WITH BOTH. IM VERY OUTGOING, I HAVE PATIENCE, I NEVER GIVE UP AND TRY MY BEST.
