I worked for the IRS for 16 years in customer service. I took great pride in the fact that no matter how angry or abusive taxpayers could be I never took it personally and by the end of a call I had calmed them down and took care of their issues until they were satisfied and sometines actually grateful. I raised three children by myself and a niece as well. They all turned out to be honorable, self relient and good parents and citizens. I have always tried to be true to myself and always do what is right. When I was 16 yrs. old I worked in a tiny hospital in Joplin Mo. I helped in the emergency room, labor and delivery and on the wards. I was a 'nurses aide' and we did functions that are know done only by professionals, such as positive pressure, inserting catheters and sonar treatments. I'm just grateful I never hurt anyone!!!

I've been a caregiver for more than 30 years. I care about people and I feel like God has given me a gift. I love to talk so I pretty much can get a patient to try must things that a family member can't get them to to to. I love to read and interact with them if it's just a game cards.

I am capable of being a great care giver because I am attentive and not judgemental. I became a caregiver by accident, my mother lost her memory with little warning, (she was handing her own affairs well and within a few days she was incapable of managing her own affairs), and soon after lost her ability to walk, at the time I was unemployed and so became a caregiver. In spite of not having given this line of work any previous consideration. Becoming a caregiver for people outside my family acquainted me with how other people lived. My interest has always been people and spending a considerable amount of time in homes, allows me insights that other jobs don't give. Growing up I always enjoyed my grandmother recalling the life experiences that made her the type of person she was. I take pride in being a unique individual and not being just like everyone else. I am not just a member of a collective.

I'm a great care giver cause I actually care about the person I'm taking care of. Been in the business for over 15 years. Have worked in side people homes but have also worked at nursing homes for a long time also.

I would be a great caregiver due to having to take care of my Grandma since I was pretty young. She suffered from depression, dementia, then Alzheimer's. She needed a lot of care. After caring for my fiance's bed bound Uncle for 2 years back in 2013, I found myself going to night school to get into the Medical Field, so I could do more for patients like him. The entire time I was putting myself through night school, I took care of a few other disabled elderly neighbors. While working at NCMC hospital, and then a Gastroenterologist office, I did not feel I was where God wanted me. After speaking with the doctor I was working for and his wife, they pointed me in a direction to help hospice clients. I finally felt I was where God wanted me. In December of 2019, after my sister passed away from cancer, my Mom called and asked me to come home. She said she needed me to help her during her surgeries. I didn't hesitate. I sold my house and moved up here to Fayetteville to help my brother with my Mom. 6 months later she passed and I found myself right back in Home Health Care. I have always gone where I was needed and wanted. The appreciation the clients show me, just from the way their eyes smile at me, that pulls me right back to where I feel I belong. My apologies for not being available on the weekends. I was blessed with becoming a grandmother, shortly after my mom passed, so my weekends are pretty much taken up by my precious Grandson. Monday - Friday, if I am open, I would love to step in and help. Remember, no matter where you are in this walk of life, God has a plan for each and everyone of us. Hello My name is Sylvia Brown, I'm 55 years old I'm blessed with 2 grown children and 4 beautiful grandbabies. I resided in Giddings, Tx originally from Austin, Tx. I became a Home Health Caregiver in 2001 in Austin, Tx and in Kingsland, Tx. What inspired me to the career of a caregiver was the loss of a love one that I took care of tell his last days. I mostly enjoyed the one on one in caregiving I beleave you have to have it in your heart to care for the ones that no longer or have a hard time doing for there selfs. In 2005 I got my Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) I have worked in Nursing Homes long term and Alzhteimer's Unit. That was a more fast pace environment but I did enjoy. In 2017 I had to stop working due to taking care of Grandsons, during that time my CNA expired. I had been helping take care of my 91 year old Father that had Alzhteimer's up to July 2021 a blessing that I will live with the rest of my life. I just can't seem to let go of taking care of those that need care so I'm looking to take care of your loveones . I feel I have been blessed and skilled for 22 years of careing for the ones that need it, I got a loving and honest personality and hard worker. My achievements in my career are Loving others and having a great relationship with my clients and there family. I have been employee of the month and for my hard work have gotten bonus check. Yes we all have to work to survive but at the same time you have to enjoy and have the love in your heart to do the best for the one your taking care of as if they were your own family. (Hourly rate is negotiable base on miles, hours and weekends also over night care. We can discuss and figure out what is reasonable.)
