I have a genuine care and love with people, i have a high tolerance dealing with pretty much everything specially with people that really needed help, i can related and had good understanding most of their situation, I'm a good cook and I can provide a better care to the patient, I know how to handle Dementia Patient, and i can pretty much work with any body , I am good listener, I enjoyed helping patients getting better, specially when they achieved the weekly goal, and the happies moment is when i make them smile , even just the simple things in life, I have a patient she's 93 years old, had stroked, he lost the ability to read , write and speak, but with everyone helps, and our daily activities , and her persistence to get better , she recover 99.9% it was amazing recovery,

Hello! I'm Amanda. I lived in Corpus Christi for the most part of my life for 28 years. Ive been married for 8 years. I have three kids. My son is disabled, and mother got early on-set Alzheimers, and went blind at 55. So I guess you could say Ive been doing this for a while. It never occoured to me this is what I love doing and why not make it a career! I love helping others. Im very involved in my community making sure seinors have food and resources. I also advocate for neurodiversity and very involved in Autism community. Its safe to say Im just one of those people that love to help, and I look forward to assisting you and your family! Amanda

Hello, I am a mother of 3. Adopted & raised by my grandmother & stepgrandfather. At a young age, I was watching grandma care for her mother 1st we go to momo's house until after some years she moved in with us. I would watch and assist my grandmother in any way I could till her passing. We then brought my adopted fathers, mother to live with us and cared for her for almost 2 years until she passed. During that time learning, to listen to them, and being there for their needs I learned what upset them and I enjoyed spoiling them with love. I grew up left home, had children & made my way back to my hometown when my birth dad's father's dad, dementia started getting bad. My family moved into his house and began 24-hour care, it was all very new to him & us. I began to take classes to understand Alzheimer / Dementia & once I finished the class I had a clearer understanding of what he felt, & we came up with ways to always just meet his needs. I was his live provider for 2 & a half years until he passed. I took a break because losing him hurt. A few years later my aunt & uncle needed help. My aunt had Alzheimer's but with psychoses (something new for me) & My uncle was just minimal assistance but reminders of pills, & meals for 2 years. I enjoy people who need assistance, because I too have been 1st paralyzed (4 months) after a head-on collision & then a whole lot of recovery, and asking for help was not ever easy. Having my family care for me 24/7 weighed heavy on me. So I try my best to better understand exactly what is needed, whether that may be a listening ear, to an extremely weird story, or their upset voicing the changes they are going through. And I try to be understanding to them maybe not want to do a regular task so I bend things and change up the routine if that is what's needed. Because I know how it feels when your life has changed. I love it when it's my time to leave & they don't want me to go. I also love when I see the happiness in the family
