I am compassionate and caring about the wellbeing and overall health of my clients. I have always wanted to help and take care of others. The most enjoyable thing about being a caregiver is the joy that I bring to my clients by taking care of their needs and helping improve their quality of life. A personal achievement I am proud of is going out and making a difference in my clients' lives that are unable to complete their activities of everyday living on their own.

What makes me a great caregiver , I love my clients as well as what I do I enjoy being able to help those who need more help than others or just even being a opening ear to talk to , I think what made me want to be in this Field is seeing my mother do it she has always been my inspiration, after I was old enough to try for myself I seen how people would treat the residents and I wasn't to happy about it , I've always said you treat people how you want to be treated or how you would want your parents treated or grandparents etc if they were in a situation of the sort . Working in this field has taught me that no matter your race your weight your height your religion, it's about your heart and how one feels about you as well as how you feel about what your doing and who your doing it for .

Licensed nurse with 39 years of experience in clinic, hospital, LTC, hospice, home health, private duty. Certified Dementia practitioner, active LVN license. I started my career as certified CNA at age 16 working in Woodland Heights Hospital, care giving has always been my way of living out my faith. I am at my best when I am caring for another.

I am a high school graduate, I love meeting new people and have new opportunities. I am dedicated to get the job done and very hard working. What attracted me to be a caregiver was my family. My mom is also a caregiver and so is my aunt, so at a very young age seeing them work so hard built inspiration for me.

I have taken care of both my grandmother and grandpa for years, this requires cleaning organizing their day to day life's minor medical care and also medicine reminder and being responsible for retrieving refills. My grandfather having diabetes and for a time prostate cancer and my grandmother currently having Dementia. Normalizing their day to day lives is top priority.

My personality traits, being attracted to being a caregiver, and why I enjoy being a cargiverfor are that I truely enjoy caring for clients in their own homes. I am a very fast learner, very organized, reliable, hard-working, have good transportation, and always strive to perform my very best at any job I do. I am also very excellent at completing my paperwork on time. My most most personal achievement as being a caregiver/RN in the home health care environment is the one time I felt I really helped a client out with her disability. I had a client a few years ago that had been unable to leave her home due to the fact that she didn't have a wheelchair ramp attached to her home. She was unable to go down her front steps for about 3 years due to her arthritis in her legs. Thru lots of research, I was finally able to find a traveling church group that would donate their time helping clients in need by building them home improvements to help them. I was able to get up with them to have them come to her home and build her a wheelchair ramp. I was so happy for her, that we both cried. That was one of my best days on the job!

Very outgoing individual that enjoys meeting new people, tends to be shy but warms up to them. What I like most about being a caregiver is being able to help someone.

I love being a caregiver! There's no more rewarding job in the world. I love meeting new people and caring for them. I've met some really special people throughout the years who will hold a place in my heart forever.
