I've been a caregiver on and off for the past 20 years I've worked with Developmentally disables individuals children, paraplegic quadriplegic guys and girls, and elderly from just very minor help to hospice. I am an NAR (soon to be CNA) studying to get my RN. I currently work TH - Sat nights 9pm -7am. Looking to help someone and be there for a client a few hours a week and make a difference.

I started volunteering at my local senior center as a teenager, and from then I knew I wanted a career with elders. I was given an opportunity to caregive 3 years ago, and I quickly worked up the latter to running a house. I have found myself gaining trust of my residents easily and maintaining a personal yet professional relationship with them. Recently I completed NA training and am awaiting my State Board testing for my CNA license.

I am a CNA based out of Astoria, Oregon looking to be a meaningful caregiver as I finish my nursing degree this spring. I am looking for a more flexible schedule as I am awaiting preceptorship placement for Jan-March, and will not know that schedule until beginning of January most likely.

When my mother was passing from cancer, I watched her care team take such great care of her. I was deeply touched by that kindness and I realized that is what I wanted to do.
