I became a caregiver after helping my dad through his battle with cancer when I was just a teenager. I am a single mother of three children. I love reading, music, arts and crafts. Hello! My name is Apolonia and I am currently working fulltime as a CNA at Clearview in Juneau, WI. I started the nursing assistant program back in 2009 in my senior year of high school and became certified in 2010 shortly after my son was born. However, my first job working with elderly was as an activity aide for the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun. I really enjoyed being able to get the residents out of their rooms to share laughs, reminisce about the good old days, and to just be there for them when they needed someone to talk to. After a year, I decided that I wanted to pursue working as a nursing assistant, so I obtained a position with Century Oaks Assisted Living Center in Oshkosh. Yes, it was a long commute from Waupun everyday, but I absolutely loved it. I started when the second building opened, so not only was I a new cna but I was working in an environment that was entirely brand new and we all grew together. We had an amazing team of people and it never felt like going to work. We just became like family. In 2014, the company was bought out by Capital Senior Living and I stayed working for about a year and then decided it was time to take the next step. So I applied to Clearview because it was closer to home and I now have a more consistent routine for my son. I plan to stay working for Clearview fulltime, but I am looking to take on a possible part time, temporary position or even be on call certain days. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to caring for your loved one!

I think what makes me a good care giver is that I try my best to give the best care I can to the person or persons I care for what attracts me to this is just that I can make a difference in someone else's life doing some small things for them what I like about being a care giver is that I can make the person I care for feel comfortable and not stressed about how they will be able to do things for them selves the greatest achievement that I have made is that my two oldest daughters grew up to be caregivers too and they are both wonderful at their jobs and I'm proud of both of them.

I'm very outgoing loving caregiver, I love elderly and children. I am a huge animal lover and I love to build relationships with my clients and treating them as my family. My attraction to becoming a caregiver began when my Opa was diagnosed with Alzheimer and dementia, I took care of him and grew love for the field and became very attached to everyone that I took care of. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is starting school and working my way up to starting my own assisted living and home care business.

I'm a caregiver of 37 years I'm on time for work always pick up shifts if I can I try to be patient with my clients when I no there is days that will be bad I've been a cargivercause of taking care of my grandpa and sister with brain tumor ,being a caregive has given me joynowing that I am there to help them out when no one alse can I achieved becoming a caregiver of 37 years and once a cna but hope to again so I can get back into hospic
