Hi! I've been a caregiver for more than 12 years; but in the medical field for more than 40 I began my caregiver role after volunteering for hospice in a variety of roles. I felt a calling to contact my local hospice after being a volunteer in a local service league of which one of our projects was fundraising for hospice. After enrolling in the volunteer program, background check, lab work, they provided a thorough and continuous education as a sitter for patients. The caring part came naturally; although I had gained hands on experience while working for various physicians. My education from The University of Alabama along with hands-on experience from physicians in both front and back office medical clinics provide me with the knowledge and training required. My heart does the rest. The best feeling and reward is when a patient and their family are happy with the care they receive. Being a caregiver not only helps the patient but also gives the family a break and some relief in knowing their loved one is being cared for without worry.

I love being a caregiver because I love to help people. I love to get to know my patients and to grow a relationship with them and Hear about their life. It's the most rewarding job I've ever had and I just love it

I've always loved being around people and trying to bring a smile to their face. I enjoy working with older people because to me they've got some of the greatest wisdom, amazing personalities and are the full of history better than history books. I have personal knowledge in working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients. I have taken care of cardiac patients ranging from A-fib ,congestive heart failure to quadruple bypass. I I enjoy and keeping their bodies moving with a little bit of exercise fit for their situation. I have a certification in CPR an associate's degree in science and have been certified as a CNA 20 years ago as well as went through a medical assistant program in 2005. I am the mother of two high-spirited an amazing young men ages 23 and 20. My from his son moved out 2 months ago. So I would like to do more to fulfill my life and doing for others and helping others gives me that for filament and joy. I plan to be moving to Mobile the end of March.

Elderly assistance is something I've been doing since my early teenage years for my grandparents, especially my grandfather who's a Vietnam veteran, with any help they needed, if it be carrying, cooking, fixing, or any other tasks at hand.

I'm a very dedicated and motivated person. A little about me. My oldest son is 23, my youngest son is 10, my oldest daughter is 7 and my youngest daughter is almost one. I take the most pride in my motherhood. I truly enjoy and have a passion for helping the elderly. I specialize in Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Parkinson's disease. I've worked with mentally challenged adult as well as other mental and medical conditions. I have worked in nursing homes as well as worked in the home health care industry. I have been to nursing class and and I'm a nurse's assistant.

Wat are my personality traits are that im caring, loving, kind, sweet, one of a kind, has a good heart. What attracts me to being a caregiver is that i love helping people that are sick get better. Elderly people make me so happy to be around. Im working towards my cna soon. Elderly people are a joy to be around. I took care of a gentleman when he was sick that the people hired me outside of company to take care of him he passed away but the family still keeps in contact with me. A personal achievement im proud of is how hard I have worked to make sure my kids have a good education by pushing them to make good grades and get a scholarship.
