Hello my name Is Martine Freeman, I am 52 years old I have 3 kids all three are grown. I have a total of 8 grandbabies. One which lives in my home with his mother. I'm always in good spirits love to joke an laugh, my friends an children are always telling me to be serious welllll that's alittle hard. When I see people down I'm the one that will crack a joke I try cheering people up. What do I enjoy most in being a caregiver, I love taking care of the elderly, I love brightening up their day, I love making them feel comfortable whenever their in my care. What attracted me, well at first I wanted to see if I could be a caregiver whenever lived in Tulsa Oklahoma and as days went by I'm like yes this is something I could do for a long time. They pay just wasn't enough so while working as a PCA I also worked a full time job. I worked in Tulsa as PCA for like 2 years, so whenever I moved to Conway in 2016 I decided to go back to doing PCA, well I got aliitle more experience with different clients which was amazing because I had little to no experience with, paralyzed, Dementia, Altzheimiers, deaf and the blind. I've really learned alot from working with different type of health problems. Now I've never had to work with a lift, and from the looks of things I really couldn't trust myself I'm too scared thinking I wouldn't have the thing snapped on right. But for the most part I have gotten close to all the residents I have had. Oh I even had one that called me the N word, her husband continued to Apologize to me,and like I told him it's totally OK. She had Dementia, and Altzheimiers so she didn't know what she was saying. I did grow close to both her and her husband until they moved away.

I love being a caregiver! I have been a CNA for 6 years now! Working from going to patients houses to hospitals! I love what I do I have a passionate for taking care of patients just like they where my own grandma & grandpa!! That's where my heart is at!

I would go to therapy with my mom & then help her at home, then I helped my dad get his stuff ready to go to work every morning.
