I got started in healthcare at 15 years old. I started by taking care of my mom, as she had mini strokes & had to go to therapy. I would go to therapy with my mom & then help her with therapy at home, then I helped my dad get his stuff ready to go to work every morning. After my daddy left for work I'd take a nap just before going to school. I enjoy being around elderly people, having conversations, helping them with daily tasks & being a companion to them. I've been to school to be a CNA, a Certified Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Emergency Medical Technician & hopefuly one day finish achieving my RN degree. I'm also a mom of four grown children & I have nine grandbabies. I enjoy taking care of people of all ages. I specialize in caring for people with disabilities & Alzheimers/Dementia disease. I assist with all daily living (can be modified to fit your personal requests and needs such as transportation, light meal prep, cleaning house, and even taking care of pets or children with no additional pay). Such as dressing, safely transferring from one part of the house to another, showers, baths, bed bathes if immobile, changing and assistance in the restroom, assist with feeding, or simply being a companion.
