Hello my name Is Martine Freeman, I am 52 years old I have 3 kids all three are grown. I have a total of 8 grandbabies. One which lives in my home with his mother. I'm always in good spirits love to joke an laugh, my friends an children are always telling me to be serious welllll that's alittle hard. When I see people down I'm the one that will crack a joke I try cheering people up. What do I enjoy most in being a caregiver, I love taking care of the elderly, I love brightening up their day, I love making them feel comfortable whenever their in my care. What attracted me, well at first I wanted to see if I could be a caregiver whenever lived in Tulsa Oklahoma and as days went by I'm like yes this is something I could do for a long time. They pay just wasn't enough so while working as a PCA I also worked a full time job. I worked in Tulsa as PCA for like 2 years, so whenever I moved to Conway in 2016 I decided to go back to doing PCA, well I got aliitle more experience with different clients which was amazing because I had little to no experience with, paralyzed, Dementia, Altzheimiers, deaf and the blind. I've really learned alot from working with different type of health problems. Now I've never had to work with a lift, and from the looks of things I really couldn't trust myself I'm too scared thinking I wouldn't have the thing snapped on right. But for the most part I have gotten close to all the residents I have had. Oh I even had one that called me the N word, her husband continued to Apologize to me,and like I told him it's totally OK. She had Dementia, and Altzheimiers so she didn't know what she was saying. I did grow close to both her and her husband until they moved away.

I have a great love and compassion for everyone I meet. I enjoy helping, listening, caring, and just being able to be there when needed. I will take the best care possible for your loved ones. I am honest, loyal , and love to smile and make others smiles with me.

I am friendly, experienced and have a diverse experiences working in a caregiving capacity. I love helping people and being of service to others. I'm grateful and honored for each life I have been blessed to care for and those who allow me to be with them until they went home.

I am 51 & I love helping others. Some years ago I was in a car accident & had to learn the way of living again. I do have a limp & cannot get on my knee s to do any work. Because of all I went through & have to be conscious of my surroundings. It makes it easier for me to be in tune with my client. I have experienced the role of needing a caregiver. All though I have a limp I am totally capable of helping & securing the safety of the client. I love helping people and being apart of bringing peace & comfort to families.

I felt purpose in my position as a Care Giver. Always tried to bring there for my families as well as clients. And my personal experience as a family caregiver has given me more in site to how the family members must feel.

I am a recently divorced 38 yr old mother of two young boys. I needed a 2nd income but could also be flexible with my family. I have always taken care of family and friends my whole life. At the age of 17, I started caring for a woman from my church with MS on the weekends until she passed away. And it took off from there. I have always been a caregiver even to my mother as she battled cancer. I have such a warm heart and helping hand to those who need assistance. The hardest part in life is being in a place where you need help. My heart is to not make that place seem so hard to be in. I have been a cna for 6 years now and I love it, I have worked in a nursing home, hospital, and assisted living. I can do light house keeping, Check and record vital signs; measure height and weight; measure intake and output; collect specimens; test urine; observe patient response to care; report and record observations of patient's conditions.Check and pass food trays; feed patients; provide fresh drinking water and nourishments; assist with bed pans, urinals and commodes; empty urine collection bags; assist with colostomy care; give enemas; observe faces and urine; monitor intake and output. Turn and position patients; provide range of motion exercises; transfer patients to wheelchair/stretcher; assist with ambulation. Bathe patients; provide nail and hair care; assist with oral hygiene; provide denture care; shave patients; assist with dressing and undressing.Admit, transfer and discharge patients; transport patients; take specimen to lab; assist with special procedures; telephone answering; document and assist in unit record-keeping. Make beds; clean and care for equipment; carry out isolation precautions; practice medical asepsis and infection control; practice standard precautions; observe oxygen precautions. Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality; keep call signals within patient's reach; answer call signal promptly; provide orientation to the room or unit and to other visitors and patients; assist patients with communication; protect personal possessions; provide diversional activities; give backrubs; prepare hot and cold applications.

Been CNA for 2.5 years and in the healthcare industry for 10+ years. I've traveled out of state for work and worked in varies facilities including corrections.
