I have worked as a private caregiver for the last twenty years. I worked in the airline industry for about 10 years as a customer service agent, was laid off and was offered a job as a caregiver in Dixon, CA taking care of a couple for 8 years until they passed on to be with the Lord. I have been in the business ever since giving tender loving care, compassion and great work performance to all my clients. I am trustworthy, honest, dedicated to what I am entrusted to do, also possess lots of patience and consideration and loyalty. I initially became a caregiver so I could help patients be happy in a facility that they might not be comfortable in . I love helping others as well as making sure they are fed , cleaned , bathed & also making sure they are safe . Making residents feel at home as much as possible. Helping residents get dressed in the mornings , make there beds and clean there room if needed for the day . Making sure they have everything they need and checking on them throughout the day .

I have been a caregiver for years. I enjoy working with people. I started doing caregiving after I watched my mom be an RN. I enjoy seeing my clients happy and satisfied.

I'd say what makes me a good caregiver is my compassion for others & Positive demeanor. What sets me out from most would definitely be dedication & patience. When your doing something you love to do it really makes work not feel like a job & that's why I'm a caregiver. Giving someone the help they need is something we all deserve. The way I see it is -if providing my help was the least I did, then id enjoy the rest of my life knowing I made a difference. Really, It's a win- win situation!!!

The personality traits and expertise that help me to become to be a great caregiver, are that I'm empathetic very passionate about the work that I'm a people person and making sure that people are happy. A person achievement that I'm proud of is called the completion of CNA school andmaking the decision to enroll in R N in school to further my education in the nursing field

I feel like I am caring, loving and patient individual, I like to care for others that need care, I have an hear to listen when someone needs someone to talk to, I don't mind helping others, it's a part of my trait. I once was going to school for nursing, but didn't finish, so I worked in the acute hospital and convalescent home, plus in-home care for quite a while. I love caring for the sick and disable. I like to try and help and encourage others to get better and not to quit. I saw a friend of mine hold on after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, when the doctor's had given up on her, that I was there to encourage her to not give up and she lived a healthy life for a little of two more years, when the the breast cancer attacked her again, and she was tired and gave up and died.

Love being around people who appreciate me . Caregiving makes me feel at home because i get to enjoy what i do while doing it as a job . My grandma attracted me to be a caregiver because i would take care of her and a lot of my residents remind me of her. i enjoy most about caregiving is knowing that i help people everyday and they trust me . Personal achievement i am proud of is always doing my job as best as i can and always putting a smile on peoples faces .
