My name is Elaine and I'm a great caregiver because, after looking after my father who had Alzheimer's for four years, I have the kind of experience and genuine compassion for seniors that I would want if I were looking for a caregiver. I have completed my CNA training, and am CPR certified. I've also completed several certificate courses in Safety, Memory Care, etc.. Safety is my number one priority. I'm all about fall prevention and have developed techniques to keep my clients as mobile and self-sufficient as possible while keeping them safe at the same time. Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. My name is Carol. I am a 36 year old wife and mother of 3. I have been a caregiver for children of military families in the past, for 8 years. I was also a caregiver for my father who is now going through his 7th year of pancreatic cancer. Having family in the military and knowing that their schedules are not always consistent, I built a care system that allowed military families to have comfort in knowing that their children are safe while they are away working. I am compassionate, attentive, patient, and dependable. I have an understanding of how some may feel while needing the help from others, which is why I have the confidence to help others and being very supportive to each individuals needs. I enjoy helping people with their daily living tasks, and work to ensure that their experience with me is filled with respect and dignity in regards to their personhood and rights. Previously, I have been an adjunct instructor, so I have experience adapting to questions on the fly, and adjusting explanations as needed to achieve understanding in cases where there is memory impairment.
