What makes myself a great caregiver is I am compassionate, caring,patient,empathetic,and loving, I enjoy what I do for others. What encouraged my choice to do caregiving, My Father, he had a massive CVA in 2009 and since then my experience has driven me more towards helping not only family but those who need it. Hello name is gladys hidalgo and I enjoy being a caregiver because i like to help people who need it. What made me like it was when I took care of my grandma who had diabetes and Alzheimer's she just didn't need the care but the love and patience she needed. What I enjoy most is everything love to be a companion to the patient.

I taught for 25 years I enjoy helping others 5 years ago I had the privilege to work with high needs special Ed students that we're adult age that I took on as clients as they graduated I discovered it gave me even more enjoyment than teaching

some people think that it can be bad to get attacked to someone who you are caring for. I truly believe that if i don't bond with them then i am not doing my job correctly. They have to become my number one priority. I am bilingual, patient, and very understanding. I can carry big weights and provide safety, I can provide meal plan, errands, medical reminders, house cleaning, bathing, and providing many. I wanted to be caregiver because i want to be able to give the elderly attention and love as a way of gratitude for everything they had to do in life. I want to make there years the best and let them enjoy their life knowing that they can feel safe and protected with me. I love talking with people and i especially love hearing story as well as doing whatever it takes to make someone happy. I am proud of self as I was able to take care of my mother and others while working in retail. I managed to utilize my caregiving skills and was able to market myself through other programs and be on registered list with FREED and In Home Support Services. I began as a teen when I first learned how to take care of elderly as I was raised by my grandfather and other elder relatives and began to study nutrition and other gerontology topics while in college. I have always known that caring and healing other people was my purpose in life. Now that I have full knowledge of it, I have decided to dedicate my life helping other people. Being a caregiver it's one of the most important jobs, to actually "care" about another person, help them and be a companion in the most difficult tasks is something that you must be passionate about. Me being here, writing about why am I a caregiver could only say that it is my passion and that also I am good at it. I am proud to offer my help and heal other people.
