Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. Safety first always, compassion, dignity, privacy, respect and hope are all important attribute's that I find essential to good nursing care. It is a meaningful gratifying experience to know that I can add to someone's life and possibility bring goodness when health issues can be a challenge and so often depressing. Good nursing requires being completely present while in someone's home or in a facility. My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Using Mama or Papa and other terms of endearment are not appropriate for me personally in professional healthcare. I use old fashion "yes Mam, yes Sir, no Mam, no Sir. and in an audible understandable language. CNA #00648980

Because I love taking care of people. The most that like being a Caregiver is to be able to help someone that is not able to do for themselves, be a companion for those who don't have anyone to talk to. Well I went to school for Certified Nurse Assistant in 2005, graduated March 2006. I've been Certified now for 9 years I have ongoing Continuing Education (CE) . I'm also a Certified Direct Support Professional (DSP) for 6 years caring for people with developmental and behavior problems and many more .

I have an extensive medical back ground, which includes, multiple years in the medical billing , coding field and hands on patient care. I am a honest, dependable, reliable, caring, compassionate and patient person by nature. All of these make me a perfect candidate. This question takes me back to my first experience with working with seniors. I was 15, and working as a candy striper at a SNF in Livermore. The feeling is indescribable . I immediately knew that my calling was to care, assist, to help seniors, man kind in any capacity possible. There are several achievements I am proud of. The most recent being the caregiver for my last client. This client had a reputation of being very demanding and difficult. I was able after an in-person interview, get the position. I held the position for 3 years at the clients request. The client had multiple agencies and caregivers until they found me. Let me-help you. The personal satisfaction from helping clients retain their dignity is what drives me. Please note: my pay is based on varying needs of the client and my experience. Thank you Susan McGee

I started off helping out a friend of the family who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, That was one of the most rewarding positions that I have ever worked. I enjoy helping people and giving them the quality care that they deserve. In 1989 I was able to help my father after he fell 100' down a mountain cliff. We were able to view the whole rescue on TV with my Dad because the show Emergency 911 was filming and had been interviewing Rescue Air 5. It was great being a part of all the people who were able to respond and help as a team to save my Dads life. In 2010 I helped manage care for a quadriplegic, We developed a relationship and working with Gordon was a pleasure. I have worked with Hospice patience and traumatic brain injuries, also worked in the memory unite at Pointe Palermo. All of the people that I was able to help was so rewarding and life moving.
