What makes me a good caregiver is i like to sit down and listen to the individual and the family to find out their concerns and fears and how they want things to be. I respect all rights and will not over step my boundary. I'm a good listener and companion. I became a care giver after taking care of my grandma while she battled with cancer. It was a hard and emotional time but after she passed. I learned that we became closer and during that hard time we also had many good times. So in the end results i became a care giver to become a companion and to help others when help is needed.

I like helping people without making them feel bad for needing help. I don't judge people and I try to always be respectful. I have noticed in the last few years caregivers are more rude, lazy and take advantage of the people they care for and I am totally disgusted with it. I just want to be someone that the person and or their family can trust and be comfortable with. I enjoy knowing that I can help make things easier for someone. I am working on being the person I used to be before my husband passed away. I completely fell apart. This is the first step to getting the old me back.

I'm currently a volunteer for southern kern school district, I'm board approved I got background clearance to be with school district in rosamond, I used to take care of my grandmother who had diabetes, I'm a very trustworthy person, I can clean cook etc , I have a clean driving record as well , I'm willing to go extra miles to make my clients fell comfortable and happy .

I enjoy being a caregiver. I am lighthearted, compassionate, empathetic, caring and understanding. I started caregiving over 20 years ago, for my grandfather. That's when I knew this was meant for me. This deepened my commitment to the field of caregiving. I became a foster parent 6 years ago, I have been able to be a part of so many lives and such diverse situations. I find helping others in need self rewarding. This is what I love to do.

I have always loved taking care of people at all stages in life. My niece was premature 3lb 2oz I was with her the day that little girl came into this world. Fighting for everything she had. She is autistic and she is such an amazing person her drive to become somthing extraordinary in her own little way. She suffers from type 1 diabetic and life has handed her a tough card but she never is unhappy about anything. I try to love my life like her. Every day just giving even if it's just a little to bring a smile and make someone laugh can do amazing things. Iv have sat at bed side of the ill holding a hang of a greaving husband. I have also held a hand of someone who was scared to pass away alone. I was with her till the end. I try to love, smile and even cry with all because we are all human and we should never be alone. If I can just bring that one day of happy then Iv done my job!

I am an easy person to get along with. I am available to work at any hour or day.

Since I was a little girl taking care of my grandmother I knew I was ment to take care of people . I enjoy helping and finding solutions for families who need help . I have worked in assisted living facilities. I am also an IHSS provider . Providing care for your love ones is my greatest acmoplishment . I insure there safety , and improve the quality of life . I take pride in my work with seniors and developmentally disabled Adults .

I became a care taker after caring for my mother (a cancer patient) for three years. It actually fell into my lap, when a friends, friend was looking for help caring for his mother. It was such a blessing, because it directed me in to care taking as a profession. I believe I am a compassionate and friendly care giver because I was once a patient while going through cancer treatment. I understand how it feels to be scared or frustrated with be disabled. Being that helpless gives you a different perspective when dealing with those who are now feeling that same way. I am proud of the kind hearted and compassionate person it has made me become and bring to my work . It is rewarding to help those in need and make them as comfortable as possible through whatever care they need.
