Hi, thanks for looking at my profile. I took care of my stepmom for many years. She was wheelchair bound, a stroke patient, and a diabetic. She had depression issues she was on medication for. I helped her with bathing, dressing, washing her hair, giving her medications/insulin injections, meal prep, errands, transportation to her appts. I have certification in CPR/First Aid from my FL Class D Security Officer License course. I am presently taking Carelinx courses to better myself for the Caregiver position. Thank you for reading. I am 48 years old and had the privilege of caring for both of my parents in the final years of their lives. In addition, my in-laws are both very well and active at age 88. I do travel with them and provide help in their home as they live independently. I am very trustworthy and dependable. I also have a lot of respect for the elderly which attracts me to being a caregiver. I hope to make someone's life much easier with some assistance from myself. I spent many years after my father passed away from cancer as a hospice volunteer. In addition, I have done companion care for several seniors over the last 20 years. I am the mother of a 21 son who has worked very hard to become a professional actor. He is currently a Senior at Belmont University in Nashville. He's probably my greatest achievement in life! I love being a care giver since i was a kid my grandparents took me to the nursing homes and we used to sing to the elderly and give them little gifts like soap and lotion and the happiness that me and my family gave to them made me feel so good inside . seeing them light up and be happy is the most increbile feeling in the world . when i work as a resident assitant and took care of multiple people they came my family . alot of the residents didnt have family that come and see them and i made there days . they use to tell me when i would walk in i have missed you so much and where have you been lol especially the dementia patients. If i can make a difference in somone life and take care of them and make them happy than thats why i do what i do .
