I am a mother of 3 little girls and love to spend my time taking care of everyone! I have been a caregiver for 4+ years and really love the whole experience. It's more than a job to me , it's a rewarding way to make someone else feel like they have a reason .

I am a very compassionate person. I enjoy helping others be as independent as they can. I am a quick learner. I am easy to get along with. At first I was scared to this type of work... My bonus daughters talked me into trying it out. I got my job at Futures Unlimited Inc but was very nervous at first. Didn't take me long to find that I really enjoyed it. Before I knew it, it was no longer a job but I seen it as a career I wanted to do and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I received an award from futures which I added to my indeed resume. I am deaf with cochlear implant, uses ASL (American Sign Language) and English. I am a college student attending HCC, I went to WSU Tech for 3 1/2 years and just now recently transferred to HCC. and I have a part time job where I work at is my favorite place to work and loving it everyday. I am very determined, honesty, team player, compassion, caring and loving the people I take care. I am friendly and always willing to cooperate with anything and are willing to work things out if it gets in the way. I am willing to work with the schedule way around it. I am a CNA and CMA at my job for almost 7 months now and I am certified CNA and CMA for a year now. I do have 3 certification is CNA, CMA, and Phlebotomist Tech. I am working on getting HHA certification then two degrees of Nursing; LPN and RN. Being a caregiver is my passion because I love taking care of people and give them the best care that they do deserve it! I enjoy go over and see them, checking in, help with anything they needed! I would DO ANYTHING to put a beautiful smile on their face. I love to cheer them up and make sure they are having a good day with a big smile on the face! My personal achievement I am proud of is that I have overcome ALOT of things in my life right now also with a bad childhood growing up but still fought through it! I am first high school graduate and first attending in college. I am a honor roll student throughout the years of high school and college. I have 3 certifications in medical field! My dream is to own a nursing home for Deaf & Hard of Hearing residents with D/HH workers that are able to uses sign language and make the environment comfortable and easier for each other!

I'm a very out going person. I can make friends where ever I go. When I was younger I lost my grandpa and his care givers were not the best and ever since then I always wanted to either be a care giver or nurse. What I enjoy most is giving the family relief that their loved one is cared for and not mistreated. A personal achievement would honestly be my kids. I'm a single mom of three and the past year I've been doing it all on my own and I've proven I can do it no matter what.

I have been a caregiver for over 10 years and have found it to be the most rewarding and enjoyable position I've held. I very much enjoy connecting one on one with people and I get a great sense of happiness knowing that I am directly helping a person who needs my help. I have been described as extremely patient and calm, and I find that those traits greatly help my ability to be a good caregiver. When people begin to age and/or their health deteriorates, life generally moves at a slower pace for them. Their ability to move quickly and to think quickly declines and it is very important for caregivers to be patient with them. That is something that comes naturally for me. I have learned how to balance the tasks of offering the person my physical help, and my companionship. I recognize that companionship is a very important part of this job! As far as the physical help I offer to my clients (cleaning, meal prep, toileting, grocery shopping, etc...) I am not one to sit idle. There is always something to be done around a home and, rather than watch tv (unless that's what the client wants me to do now and then!) or play on my cell phone, I will happily do them. Growing up with a mother who always cooked meals from scratch, I learned a great deal about cooking. I love to cook and bake, and am always up for making good, healthy meals from scratch. Whether I'm assisting my clients while they work in the kitchen, or doing the bulk of the cooking myself, I am great in the kitchen and love to provide great food for my clients. I can offer very satisfied reference, whether they come from the families of past clients or from fellow caregivers I've worked beside in the past. I am flexible schedule-wise and am used to the flexibility that is necessary to work with a rotating team of caregivers.
