I have worked in a caregiver role as a Social Worker for the elderly for 27+ years. I have previous experience as a caregiver in a home environment as well as in an adult foster care and assisted living setting. I worked in the emergency room of a hospital for 5+ years as an aide. I worked as an EMT for 15+ years for 3 different ambulance services. So, quite extensive experience working with people.

I love this job because I love to take care of elderly people and I have been doing it for a long time. These people are very amazing with great experience and I treat them with dignity and respect . I am a person with passion and I take my job seriously to assist my clients with their daily needs. I also play a major roll when it comes to team work . I always go to work on time and i make sure to complete my duties before my shift ends.

I became a caregiver because I love to serve and help the needy. Before I started a job as a caregiver, I volunteered at the Pre-Ops of Sinai hospital in Baltimore forsix (6) hours, 3 days a week.I care about people, I am a very loving and caring person, full of empathy and I am learning so much in this chosen career from my clients. I am full of joy, I love to sing, read them poems and sometimes we dance together. I love to dress them up. We play cards sometime and some of them watch their favorite game show on T.V and cooking is also a delight to me. I am a great companion on my one -one cases because I love to be fulfilled at work too.

I have a lot of love to give. I'm a very compassionate person, which is very important in this field. I have a lot of patience, willing to learn, and have nothing but respect for those I care for. I bonded so well with my previous residents which made the job that much better. I hope I can be of help!

I've always wanted to help others and after helping with my grandparents, I knew healthcare was for me. I'm passionate about giving someone the best care possible, as well as, ensuring the family members know they can trust me. I take pride in my work and do what is expected, because I would want the same for my family members. I'll be attending nursing school in the fall.

I have 2 years experience with a variety of clients. I can help with Transportation, Meal Preparation and Companionship. I was a history major in college and love hearing stories from our senior citizens. I have college age twin girls, a high school aged son and 2 cats. I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. It brings me joy to watch the worry fall off their shoulders the minute I walk through the door. Every one of my clients are treated as if they were my own family. I am most proud of my ability to have patients. I have been pushed to my limit several times but I can always remain calm and talk my way through those crisis. I make friends easily but yet manage to stay professional in my work places. I'm a very relaxed and approachable person, I feel that's very important in my field.

I am happiest and most fulfilled while caring for others. I fell in love with nursing in 1978 when I started my first job as a Nursing Assistant. I found that I was not only doing a job, I was caring for a person with an extensive life history that I could learn from. People who had family who loved them but were no longer able to care for them. I went on to get my LPN in 1986 and finally RN in 2012. I have provided care in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Centers, private care in homes, Home Care through agencies and have cared for my patients and their families with integrity and compassion. Aging parents have caused me to reevaluate the need for flexibility and the availability to now also provide care for them. This means the typical nursing block schedule is no longer a good fit for my families needs. I will continue to provide compassionate care for others but it will look different than it has in the past.

I am a very down to earth, kind hearted person. I have always loved taking care of people, whether it be babies/kids or the elderly. I love being able to help people and it is very rewarding being a caregiver. Giving them companionship is so rewarding, especially if they don't have family/friends nearby.
