I am compassionate and patient, and a care-oriented person, as I have a high level of empathy and training as a Psychologist from Venezuela, I was trained to care for the elderly. I love to support other people to feel better and they have a more functional life.

Being a caregiver is an extremely rewarding job. I have a passion for helping others and putting a smile on other's faces, and being a caregiver allows me to do both of these things. I am going to school to become a recreational therapist and will work with people with disabilities, older adults, and a wide range of people in that field. I believe it is important for older adults to have someone to interact with during the day to improve their mental health.

I feel like I'm a very calm, positive and patient person. I really like working with and helping people. What I like most about being a caregiver is knowing that I'm having a positive impact in someone's life. I'm most proud of just knowing that I'm trying my hardest each day to help people.

A personal achievement I am proud of is my Patience, Love and Understanding. My ability to adapt quickly. I moved to Florida three summers ago from Minnesota. I have yet to get used to the Florida summers. However, I do enjoy and embrace the Flora, Foliage and Fauna. I see something new everyday. My new favorite Florida bird is the Painted Bunting. I love living Life on Life's Terms. What a Beautiful Gift.

Caring for individuals in their own homes allows me to provide the love and support they deserve. I have experience with activities of daily living, including cooking, cleaning, bathing, and companionship. I also assist with activities, shopping, and medication administration. Each day offers me the opportunity to truly connect and make a difference for those I care for.

What makes me a good care giver is, with patience, compassion attentiveness and trustworthy. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my grandma and my mother. They both worked with elderly and I fell in love. I loved helping and caring for someone. Making sure they had everything they need. Just like what there surprise to do on the job. I enjoy working with others and being able to be there for others, always have. One achievement I am proud of is making one of my moms patient laugh. I love to see them smile. :)

My compassion for my current residents is outstanding. I became a caregiver because my dad was diagnosed many years ago with dementia and Parkinson disease. I learned then that I truly enjoyed providing cares for people. I enjoy the friendships I've made with my residents throughout the years. A personal achievement that I am proud of is being as dependable as I am. Willingness to help out with hours, pick up extra shifts.
