Hello. I've been caregiving for about 3 years now. I love helping and taking care of people. I've always wanted to be a light to my patients and their family. I think my favorite part about caregiving has to be the bonds that i build with them.

I lovingly took care of my elderly mother-in-law for 5 years in my home. She was my sidekick and best friend. I assisted her with every facet of aging. I helped her with bathing, diaper changes, grooming, turning, mobility, entertainment, and I was there with her through every hospital stay and in her final days on hospice at home. I am glad I was able to give her the dignity and respect she deserved and I love that I was able to keep her at home where she wanted to be.

I got my Personal Care Aide license in 2006 so I would know how to care for my mother who had cancer and then 2011 tended to my father til his death in 2013. I enjoy visiting and hearing about the clients unique lives, I enjoy the flexiablity in hours as a caregiver, but most of all knowing with my assistance I am helping people live longer and happier lives indepentently. I am proud that I was able to care for both my parents before they died and I was able to keep them from going to the nursing home. I am a single, white, female, mother, caring, reliable, hard working, a great cook, and friendly. I worked for East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging and recertified my personal care aide training in Arkansas in 2014. My clients always bragged that I can fold laundry like department store and the fitted sheets like should be folded. That is due to my 10 years in hotels business and many years working Apparel department at Wal-mart. I am currently a greeter at Wal-mart.

I believe in giving quality care and helping my clients live instead of feeling like they just exist, I am capable of showing empathy when needed.

I am a 22 year old newly married mother. I cared for my grandmother 24/7 when she was going through her cancer treatments. I also played a role in caring for my father with his dieabities, pacrities, addiction recovery, vision, and hearing problems. I have a very compassionate and bubbly personality. I am a very responsible and caring person. I have a big heart, and accept everyone the way they are. I would genuinely enjoy being able to brighten somebody's day, give someone peace of mind knowing their loved one is taken care of, and providing quality care to someone in need. I have been taking care of the elderly since I was 14. I started caring for my grandmother when she became bed ridden due to having to have her leg amputated. I did everything for her. I bathed, groomed, took her to the bathroom, helped her in and out of her wheelchair, made sure she took her medication on time, cooked all meals, took her to doctors appointments, and shopped for her. I knew at and early age I LOVED to take care of the elderly and there is nothing I wouldn't do. It is truly my passion and I will do it for the rest of my life until I'm not able anymore. I love every aspect of it but not only love to take care of them and make sure they are ok and have everything they need and want. I love to just be there with them and around them to just talk and enjoy their company.
