My name is Patricia ! I work with individuals with severe mental disabilities as a Direct Support Professional. I am looking for a new job closer to my new home. I am First Aid, CPR, and MAP Certified. I also have a long list of other certifications I can provide for you. The individuals I work with have serious medical issues such as seizures, hip dysplasia, spinal stenosis and other diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and Autism. I also have experience with Alzheimer's. I assist with all activities of daily life such as showering, toileting, grooming, cooking, feeding, and also having fun! Pretty much anything you need to do to live. Another thing that I really enjoy doing with my individuals is accompanying them to doctors appointments. I love to expand my knowledge and learn new treatments and ways I can help so my individuals can live the most joyful life they can. Thank you for your time and consideration! I have two children of my own that I care for and enjoy taking care of others. I am a fun-loving person that has a wide variety of interests. I love to smile and be funny. I love cooking, going on hikes, movie marathons, traveling, dancing, games, and basically anything that is a good time (or can be made fun). I love pets, kids, helping around the house, random projects, work-out buddy or just someone to talk to. I play the piano, although it's been awhile since I've played, and I like talking science. I was a teacher for awhile so if you would like to teach me something new I would greatly love that! I enjoy being able to make someone else's day better by helping out in any way I can. I am proud of my academic achievements, but I am more proud of my kids and how they are growing up to be wonderful people. I am attracted to being a caregiver because I enjoy the company of people and getting to know others. I look forward to meeting you!
