Hello, my names Diana. I am a licensed COTA with a bachelors degree. I worked per diem in a few different nursing home so I have experience with the geriatric population. I did home care during my fieldwork. I have experience working with clients in their homes. I love helping others and making individuals feel comfortable in their homes.

I believe I'm a great caregiver because I am passionate and caring I love taking care of people and helping them anything I could do to make a person's life better makes me feel better about myself. I started in the field because I do enjoy caring for people so much. I have dealt with all kinds of people from different age ranges with a range of different issues that they may need assistance with and I have always loved doing what I'm doing and I will continue to love doing what I'm doing. I have tried other career paths and they just weren't for me and I honestly believe that caregiving and taken care of and helping people is what I was meant to do.

My abilities and interests in becoming a care giver were fostered during my young teenager years. An immediate family member of mine has experienced many health issues, some of which were life changing medical emergencies. At a very young age I became a caregiver to this family member, which included providing direct daily care, feeding, ambulating, and educating them on their health journey. Along with experience caring for other family members with various conditions, I am also currently enrolled in a 2-year, RN Nursing Program at SUNY Morrisville; which is my proudest achievement so far! Nursing school has provided me with a further understanding of medical knowledge, disease processes, patient centered care abilities, and hands on learning (includes In-Patient clinical rotations). Because of this I am continuously able to add to my list of experience with various health conditions, some including: Alzheimer's, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, Lesch Nyhan Syndrome, Autism Syndrome, Diabetes, Stroke, Heart Attack, Depression, Anxiety, Ostomy Bags, and more. I am a very organized and detail-oriented person, I enjoy keeping a schedule and planning in advance as much as possible. I have always been described as mature, professional, and approachable. I truly enjoy caring for people, and I work hard to ensure individuals feel comfortable with their care. Nothing is more rewarding to me than making positive impacts on those around me!

Hello, I am an easy going laid back kind of person. I wanted to be a caregiver, because I enjoy helping people. I first started assisting individuals with their daily lives in 2016 at an organization for the developmentally disabled. Before that I worked in caregiving for children. Professionally I've been caregiving for about ten years. Personally it's been much longer. The best thing about caregiving is truly just getting to know and working with the people.

My name is Lindsey and I have been a CNA for 2 years in a nursing home setting, I love my residents and I love my job I am just looking for a change since I have worked in the same facility for almost 4 years now. I have always loved taking care of people ever since I could remember. I love the connections I have built with the people I have been taking care of. I always say my residents are like family and I take care of them as I would want my family to be taken care of.

What drew me to this field initially was when my grandmother had a heart attack. There are some good hospitals in florida (where I lived at the time) but majority are poor quality. Unfortunately, my grandmother ended up in one that wasn't great quality. At 16 years old, I stayed in her hospital room, sleeping on the floor, to ensure that if she needed to toilet, I could help her. I helped bathe her, and spent time with her. I did tasks that a CNA should have been performing, but it was the best thing for her because it gave her a sense of dignity in a moment of her life that was hard enough as it was. I have been working towards getting my RN completed ever since; while this goal has still not been accomplished, I am working towards it. Family is important to me, as I'm sure it is to you for your loved one. I am a single mother of 2 boys, recently divorced. I am a hard worker, and very passionate about what I do. I take my time where it matters, and recognize that there is always room for education and improvement.

I love helping and taking care of people! I'm naturally social and love to talk and learn about people and their personal history. I'm a positive person and understanding. I actually had never thought of becoming a care giver I wanted to be a teacher but after taking on my first caregiver role I loved it! Some of my personal accomplishments that i am proud of are when the families I have worked with are truly appreciative and are put at easy knowing im taking care of their loved one. Im 49yra old and a mother of 3 grown daughters..I have two beautiful grand babies Well not babies they are 4 and 5 but babies to me.I am a certified CNA and I started at age 19..but took care of my grandparents and that's where I started my journey..I have started classes for cultivation tech and still do Cna or HHA work for I still love the work but just needed a change.

I currently work as a direct support professional at Saratoga Bridges. I find this job very rewarding and touching. I feel that those with disabilities have the biggest hearts and offer the greatest learning opportunities. Many.people are quick to judge these people instead of taking the chance to really get to know them. I think they would offer you the world if they had it to give. I enjoy watching them grow and helping them in the areas in which they may struggle. I enjoy joy helping others and have a big heart. I have always been one to help those who need it. I am currently going to school to become an RN and eventually want to work with children with cancer at St. Judes.
