I love taking care of others. I love ensuring my patients families that they are in the best hands possible. I am passionate about my patients health, and their overall well-being. I am a caring soul, and often times find myself being an over achiever with absolutely no regret when it comes to those in my life. I lost my grandpa years ago and it was one of the hardest things for me. He resided in a nursing home that he wasn't getting the best care from. It broke me in every way possible. When we went to take him out, he was put on hospice the day of. We then lost him the day after. I became adamant and insisted on giving the best care in the healthcare setting. I started working in the nursing field, and refused to give anything less then my best effort. I strive to make families feel different than mine did. I go beyond expectation to make my patients feel loved, and taken care of.

I've been a caregiver for about 14 years now. It started when my grandpa had cancer and I wanted to make sure he got the best care till the end. I just started school at UMA in 2020. The number one thing I love about being a caregiver is that I get to listen to most of my patients old stories from their childhood which is my favorite The second thing would that I know for a fact that they are getting the best care during my shift.
