There's such a huge need for caregivers and DSP's and the way I look at it, the generation that we're caring for are the ones that took care of us. I'm a very caring person who has experience working with people who have dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes or people who just need a little extra help through out the day. I've been a caregiver for 7 years. I started out in a nursing home, taking my CNA/STNA classes and remaimed there for 5 years. I've done home health off and on as needed. I love what I do because I get to help and care for others. This profession is very rewarding for me and teaches you many new things such as patience, time management and many many other things. I love all the stories I get to hear from clients about there pasts, and it's also great meeting new people.

Hello! My name is Hanna Taylor, I'm currently 23 years old and residing in Athens County, Ohio. For most of my adult life and adolescence growing up, I have always found myself working with young children and my older family members. Helping them out anyway I can, and making sure they are feeling comfortable. I have recently worked 2.5 years as a Direct Support Professional, and am currently a nanny to a family of 2 children. I believe I am a great caregiver because I am patient with my client, understanding, loyal, and overall a responsible human. I'm a divorced mom of three adult children. My daughter is 33 years old and is mildly disabled. She remained under my care 24/7 until 23 when she entered a program allowing her to live with assistance be somewhat independent. My sons are 28 and 18 the latter of which was adopted as a newborn. (I will add a photo asap and background check can be done when needed. There no issues at all!) In the past I assisted my brother-in-law who was mildly disabled and ended up with ALS. I also emotionally supported my sister as she watched her friend pass with ALS as well. I'm compassionate by Nature, kind-hearted and affectionate. I love people of all ages and abilities and races. I love to laugh and smile I'd like to find ways to see other people do the same. I'm an excellent cook and enjoy doing. I love good conversation as well. Now that I'm an "empty nester " I'm looking for my place in this new life chapter. I seek live in situation so I can relocate more easily.
