I made a career change a couple years ago when I realized helping people was a deep seeded passion of mine. Hi, my name is Kierra and I have been a caregiver for 3 years, but don't let my short time being a caregiver fool you. I am an EXCELLENT caregiver! I am a patient, trustworthy, dependable, empathetic, diligent caregiver. I love caregiving, my favorite part is making my clients happy, and reminding them that they still have a purpose and are needed. I truly believe that the amount of good, quality care that is given, plays a huge role in the healing process, and keeps those we love with us longer. One day I want to be a geriatrics nurse. In Colorado I went to school and finished my CNA course with a 4.0 GPA. Taking care of people and caring for people are two different things but I've always been intentional about both. I treat others the way I would want to be treated or how I would want someone to treat my loved ones. Growing up being raised by a family who took pride in helping others especially those who can't help themselves , giving back to the community , being selfless, seeing a need and being of service, and found more joy in simply being an humanitarian more than anything else, has really became apart of who I am. I believe in people maintaining their respect and dignity in all aspects of life, good and bad, and if I can help with that, then I will go above and beyond the call of duty to do so.

I've worked with people with special needs (ranging from 18-85) most of my adult career and enjoy making the most out of my client's days however I can. I moved to Chambersburg PA the end of June and am looking to get started with someone who's in need of a caregiver. While working in the nursing home, I was able to create trusting relationships and see improvements in those I took care because they knew they could count on me. Even in the hospital setting, I am able to see how my role as a caregiver can impact others lives even for the short amount of time that they are in our care. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? The relationships that are built and knowing that, even if its a little, my actions are able to help a person live a better life.
