I am currently in college all virtual I am working on my Associates in order to gain my bachelors in Phlebotomy. I am a mom of three little ones under 6 years old. I currently work for a home health company to caters to veterans. I love animals and children and I am a nice caring generous person.

I have always had a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. I went from being a teacher, mother of 3, and working with mentally and physically challenged into personal caregiving. I feel like the my client is family. I look forward the new experiences ahead.

I have worked as a CNA-HHA for over 20 years, first through various agencies and then on my own as a private duty caregiver until I started my own home care agency. I worked well with mostly the elderly and Alzheimer and dementia patients. The benefits I receive from caregiving are numerous. I truly enjoy helping people and feeling needed and appreciated by them. I enjoy interacting with the families and working together to develop care plans and meet challenges associated with the job. One of the things I'm most proud of is being able to give the clients and their families peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are comfortable and well-cared for.

I believe that I am a great fit for the caregiving position available, I have a lot of patients, I remain calm when something doesn't go as planned, and I take my job very seriously! What attracted me to being a caregiver is for sure not the money you make, or how much! I'm very open minded, with a great sense of humor. I believe my personality qualities play a big role in my abilities as a Caregiver. I began an interest in caregiving in highschool after attending the H.O.S.A Program my school offered. I love helping people, and being a Caregiver is a perfect suit for my interest as an adult. My greatest achievement was graduating highschool so that I could pursue my career to make the world a better place.

I think one of my greatest Gifts, attributes, and My Proudest Strengths is my Love and Compassion for Children and the Elderly. It fills my heart with joy to watch a child giggle or an elderly person laugh knowing that they are loved and being taken care of by me. I helped my Mom care for my Dad when he was diagnosed with Scleroderma. For over 2 years I administered his many medicines, checked his vitals, oxygen levels and his breathing treatments. I also helped my Mom take him to Vanderbilt for his many appointments. Even though he passed from this horrific disease I felt Blessed that he knew I was there with him and My Mom taking Loving care of him. My current elderly couple I have been caring for are moving in with their children so they can be closer. I desire to stay in a caregiver position for the elderly as I feel that God has given me this Gift to help the elderly have laughter and joy in their aging years. I also receive Blessings and Knowledge from them as they talk about their journeys through life. I have a deeper sense about true hardships and sacrifices our elderly have endured to make our lives better.
