What had brought me into like being a caregiver was my grandpa. He has dementia and needs lots of help, so helping him out and talking to him and doing things with him has been amazing and is what I wanted to do. I have work in healthcare for over 35 years. The first 18 were with developmentally disabled individuals. I then stepped into roles as a home health aide, patient care technician, patient care assistant, professional addictions counselor, medical assistant and a certified nursing assistant.
