Hello,I've been in the home health business for 25yrs. I'm comfortable and familiar with every aspect of care giving . I've never met a stranger a day in my life,I can get along with anyone. I'm a quick study and welcome learning something new everyday.

What makes me great, is the love, compassion, my loyalty to my clients and family. Everyone has a calling, a purpose in life. And for me is helping, giving and sharing with others. My biggest achievement is watching someone get their confident back and feeling that they are not in it by them selves. Sharing their smiles, laughter and even tears. Just to know they know someone really care.

After seeing my grandmother and grandfather in assisted living facilities without proper companionship or care from their caregivers and nurses I made the decision to make a difference. 8 years ago my father was diagnosed with Dementia. With his progression of the disease our family had to make a choice and decided it was in his best interest to be in a facility. By the grace of god he is well taken care. During this time I made decision to go to nursing school to become a licensed nurse. Having gone through the process and working in assisted living facilities I became well aware of the elderly and all the help that was needed, especially with companionship. A lot of patients have no family to visit or family that has no interest to visit. This has become very close to my heart and the joy I get to be able to spend with these patients is as rewarding as it gets. I enjoy being able to provide the skills I have learned and to provide the assistance and respite care that a family needs.

I enjoy working with people and enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. It is essential that a great caregiver (Myself) feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, a caregiver will let the person know that they care about them. For instance, they will try and do what they can to help - not because they have to, but because they want to.
