Hello 44 years old I have been in the health care field for over 15 years now I love helping the elder and those with disabilities or those that just need companionship. I choose this field because it gives me great comfort knowing I can make someone's day a bit more comfortable and a little easier or even just making one smile. I believe we all will need someone to care for us at some point in life so I treat those the way I'd want to be cared for later in life. I also work with special needs patients and IDD i was a home Coordinator at a group home 3 years i enjoy this as well. Please feel free to ask any questions.

I became a caregiver for my grandfather in 2013. In the beginning the need for my assistance was little. I did some light cooking, cleaning, running of errands and other small tasks he requested. Over the next couple years I took on more and more responsibility and in 2015 he had an accident that left him unable to remain out of bed for longer than a few minutes at a time. From this point I happily took on the responsibility of being his full-time and full-service caregiver. I took care of virtually every aspect of his daily life and began additionally helping him with transportation to and from doctors appointments and physical rehab/therapy, as well as mobility and grooming, yardwork and maintenance, vehicle repairs, and a number of other things that he had a tough time with after the accident. I found this experience to be extremely rewarding, allowing me to use my knowledge and understanding of his health complications to help him live an easier life when things got too difficult to do on his own. This in turn allowed me to develop a deep-rooted and long-lasting relationship with the man I admired for such a long time. Through the course of my 8 years as my grandfather's caregiver, I was able to develop and refine personal and professional skills that made daily tasks and activities easier and more efficient for both of us. Patience and understanding, sense of urgency, responsibility, reliability, respect and effective communication skills were some of these. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to take care of my grandfather and would enjoy the opportunity to provide the same level of assistance to other families in need.

As an individual who spent her early years in a civil war, it was seriously sad to see people who were affected badly and had no one to care for them. Due to my passion for humanity, I found myself voluntarily helping victims in anyway I could as encountered them. After my transition to the US due to the war, I knew that caregiving was a part of me and decided to spent my career life doing that. As a care giver, it gives me nothing less that joy and excitement to know that I can be there for an individual during their most critical time of need and that I can also be a part of the team who nurture them back to recovery/health. I'm proud to say that I've worked with multiple clients who has successfully recovered fully as well as clients who has not. But again, such is life.

Hello my name is Olivia. I love what I from cooking to baking taking walks for exercise with the clients. I am bilingual, I enjoy being a caregiver i get to know my clients and help them to continue doing their hobbies they once use to do. I love to listen to stories they have endured while growing up. My clients I care for I take care of them as I would my own family. I was born & raised in San Marcos, Tx. My clients are mainly from Austin,Tx. My specific areas I have had my pleasure of working with my clients were Westlake/Rollingwood, Brookdale on Mesa Dr. / Baltierra / Querencia Assisted living/so many other places. I have been doing caregiving since I remember the first time my mom got diagnosed with being a diabetic I was about 15. So I learned about it by going with her to her appointments. So about 25+ yrs. of experience as I got older I cared for my mom then later my father til they past. I love taking care of others sometimes I wish there were more of me to help others. Greetings and I hope all is well here is a little bit about me I've worked with seniors for a little while now privately as well as providing art services at nursing homes. What really got me into caregiving was the passing of my own grandmother, by me living out of town I never got to spend those last days with her which left me in great pain. That is why I started seeing what I can do to help out in the senior community. I cook I do light cleaning such as laundry, dishes, lining changes etc. I have other services that I offer as well I have my cosmetologist license, I offer manicures pedicures and haircuts, I do art classes and I'm also a licensed security officer so I'm trained see any danger coming if we happen to be on a outing. To me it's more then a job and honestly I just believe in treating people the way I would like to be treated or the way I would want someone to treat My love ones A person's character isn't built off of what they do when everyone is looking but more about what they do when no one is around I hope this was informational have a blessed day
