My grandparents raised me and so automatically I have always loved the elderly. I received my certification for nurses aide in 2008 and have worked at various nursing homes since then. I love helping these people and hearing their stories. A personal achievement for me is whenever one of my elderly clients tells me "thank you for all that you do." I like to believe that somehow I have made a difference in their lives for that day.

When I started out as a caregiver I looked forward to spending time with people who I knew I could share life with as I served and assisted them with daily living needs. It has been such a rewarding experience as I have been able to do this and gain the rewarding benefit of working for and with people. I enjoy the opportunity to be able to help others with their ADL's that they need assistance with and to see them perform tasks independently when they are able to.
