I have 5+ years in elderly care, I'd love to thank my grandmother for giving me the opportunities she had given me in life, she was an amazing woman, our world changed when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, i was onky 18 at the time, we had a hard journey ahead of us! But I had been volunteering at my local nursing home and helping the CNA's for about 4 years. I wanted to become a caregiver since I was a teenager. Ive always loves taking care of people. The main reason I became a caregiver is because I saw the difference it made in my grandfathers life when he had dementia. The caregivers who came into our homes made a huge difference and were such a blessing. Which I hope is how families feel when I am taking care of thier loved ones. I personally think I make a great caregiver because I am a very loving, empathetic, sympathetic, caring and trust worthy. I treat my clients how I would want my family treated if the roles were reversed.
