My favorite part about being a caregiver is companionship centered around human needs. I miss my former primary client, who passed away a few years ago. Even on days when we were going nowhere, I still helped her get dressed, curled and teased her hair, and helped with makeup. She always had a preferred way of doing things, so I served as her natural extension and carried out tasks in the way she would have done them herself. I am fully. vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19. I do test regularly as an additional precaution. Everyone in my household (including all three children) are also fully vaccinated.
