I have been a caregiver for many years as a part time job. I am compassionate, kind, intelligent and I can think quickly and calmly during a crisis. I worked for 25 years as a special education teacher and now I am an online skills instructor. I work as a caregiver because it provides extra income ( I'm also a single mom), while allowing me to do something that I truly love! From a very young age I've loved helping others and that is still very much the case now. I did daycare for a majority of my late teenage years and into early adults years before I then moved to working with adults with disabilities. I then chose to spend my days helping care for a family member in their home and that's what really helped me find my love for being an in-home caregiver. Hello! My name is Apolonia and I am currently working fulltime as a CNA at Clearview in Juneau, WI. I started the nursing assistant program back in 2009 in my senior year of high school and became certified in 2010 shortly after my son was born. However, my first job working with elderly was as an activity aide for the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun. I really enjoyed being able to get the residents out of their rooms to share laughs, reminisce about the good old days, and to just be there for them when they needed someone to talk to. After a year, I decided that I wanted to pursue working as a nursing assistant, so I obtained a position with Century Oaks Assisted Living Center in Oshkosh. Yes, it was a long commute from Waupun everyday, but I absolutely loved it. I started when the second building opened, so not only was I a new cna but I was working in an environment that was entirely brand new and we all grew together. We had an amazing team of people and it never felt like going to work. We just became like family. In 2014, the company was bought out by Capital Senior Living and I stayed working for about a year and then decided it was time to take the next step. So I applied to Clearview because it was closer to home and I now have a more consistent routine for my son. I plan to stay working for Clearview fulltime, but I am looking to take on a possible part time, temporary position or even be on call certain days. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to caring for your loved one!

I'm very outgoing loving caregiver, I love elderly and children. I am a huge animal lover and I love to build relationships with my clients and treating them as my family. My attraction to becoming a caregiver began when my Opa was diagnosed with Alzheimer and dementia, I took care of him and grew love for the field and became very attached to everyone that I took care of. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is starting school and working my way up to starting my own assisted living and home care business.
