I have the calm and quiet type of demeanor and have been told on several occasions that my voice is very calming. Basically, I get along with everyone. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is that it's my calling and what I'm passionate about. It comes very naturally for me after being in this profession for over 30 years. I always try to build a connection with them because i believe thats most important for there to be trust and an understanding. A personal achievement that i am proud of would be going for further education.

I am college educated, wore many hats in life and in my professional experiences, and I have worked great with elderly as well as children in care taking over the past years. I'm patient, kind, hard working, clean, and very grounded and balanced person.

I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. I love providing home caregiving services to those that otherwise are not able to do so.

Caregiving takes a special type of person. It can be very difficult for clients to receive help-- especially if it is through an agency that throws them a different caregiver every time. This job requires that you keep that thought in your mind at all times, and understand the discretion and quiet dignity that it calls for. Being younger can cause an issue for me due to the "generation gap" between me and my clients; however, what I lack in that area, I make up for with a lot of love (and a little goofiness, because that's important too). Although I am newer to this, I have had a lot of positive feedback so far, from both families and clients. I would prefer to work with someone consistently, so we can build a relationship that this type of care needs, which in turn will be less of an intrusion on my client's personal space since they will be seeing a familiar, smiling face. My job is extremely fulfilling, and I often go home with my heart FULL!! I can see myself doing this for a long, long time.
