I lovingly took care of my elderly mother-in-law for 5 years in my home. She was my sidekick and best friend. I assisted her with every facet of aging. I helped her with bathing, diaper changes, grooming, turning, mobility, entertainment, and I was there with her through every hospital stay and in her final days on hospice at home. I am glad I was able to give her the dignity and respect she deserved and I love that I was able to keep her at home where she wanted to be.

I feel very passionate about helping others in their own environment .I feel as if I can give a gift ;a gift to others who want to stay in their own home. And , I want them to feel safe with doing so. I enjoy providing care to people in need.

I got my Personal Care Aide license in 2006 so I would know how to care for my mother who had cancer and then 2011 tended to my father til his death in 2013. I enjoy visiting and hearing about the clients unique lives, I enjoy the flexiablity in hours as a caregiver, but most of all knowing with my assistance I am helping people live longer and happier lives indepentently. I am proud that I was able to care for both my parents before they died and I was able to keep them from going to the nursing home. I am a single, white, female, mother, caring, reliable, hard working, a great cook, and friendly. I worked for East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging and recertified my personal care aide training in Arkansas in 2014. My clients always bragged that I can fold laundry like department store and the fitted sheets like should be folded. That is due to my 10 years in hotels business and many years working Apparel department at Wal-mart. I am currently a greeter at Wal-mart.

I have been caring and compassionate my whole life, I've always felt compelled to help anyone that needed assisting in any fashion. The enjoyment that I get most out of doing this, is knowing that I may somehow in some small way be contributing to making a difference in someone's life at a time when they need it most. Becoming certified as a nursing assistant, is what I'm very proud of. Because not only do I get to do what I love, but knowing that I have been properly trained in doing so gives me a greater joy.

I love caring for people that need help and compassion care and connection helping people with not feeling like a burden. I've been doing this for about 10 years I love connecting with older people they give you an Insight on life and how life was and building relationships and connection with people my clients that means something to me I treat them just like I would treat my own family members I've always had a caring nature to me giving back to people that have built generations of generations and learning how extraordinary that one human being can be is a privilege and being able to take care of them well that's a privilege in itself.
