Worked 28 years in health care at Mercy Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant . Have taking care of a lot of people. My grandmother had a caregiver I love how she took care of my grandmother , she would let me help when I was there . Just helping people bring a smile to my face and also their faces , my mother always said to help people as much as you can it's the right thing to do. I took care of my sister before she died for 6 six years gladed I got the time to pay her back for all the time she took care of me as I was growing up..

I started caregiving with my own mother at the age of 14. When my mother passed away at in my arms I knew that it was my calling to provide elderly with the stability and comfort they deserve to be able to stay in their own homes and feel loved and cared for like they deserve.

I care about helping elderly people and children that have a disability. When you love taking care of people and it's a blessing to want to do it, because some elderly people don't have family and you willing to step in and help.. God will bless you. You have to treat people the way you want to be treat.. One day we going to get old and we need the help. My achievement is that I help them to do whatever needs to be done, while they in my present of care.

These services include companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, and medication management. I am also highly efficient in basic caregiving tasks such as monitoring vital signs and performance of personal hygiene which include bathing, skin care, oral care, shaving, nail care and peri care. I am also very familiar with basic medical equipment such as hospital beds, lift recliners, wheel chairs, walkers, bed pans, fracture pans, bedside toilets, oxygen machines and portable tanks, and breathing treatment equipment. I am also well trained in lifting and transferring techniques for safety.

Hi my name is Stacy, I'm 53 yrs. Old. I became a caregiver after the loss of my grandmother. Seeing what my mother went through trying to care for her with very little help with my family other than my sister who lived in the same town and state and was the only one who could personally help my grandmother and mother. After seeing what my mom and sister went through I decided that working as a preschool teacher just wasn't enough for me anymore. So I went to work for a local company here in Fort Smith, AR. And my first night on the job I was sent to a client's home and wasn't informed by anyone that the client's family had all been called to his home to say thier goodbyes he passed away 30 minutes after I got there. It broke my heart to watch his family going through this but it made me feel good that I was able to be there to just care for his basic care so his family could just spend their time with no worries. After that I lost my mother and went through the same thing and was great full that we had a hospice nurse who not only came to care for mother but she took time out of her day to make sure that my sister and myself were doing okay as well. This is when I knew that being a caregiver was my true calling. I want to be able to be the who can help relieve a family some of their worries so they can have as much time with their loved ones and not have to worry about their basic needs knowing that I was there to take on that roll for them . This is my way of paying it forward.
