The most reason I become a Caregiver, because I grow up with my grandma, as part of our culture and custom, living in extended family. I get use to their personal needs and learn a lot from their knowledge and wisdom, which now a days new generation despise their precise deep experience in life. I'm proud to be a caregiver because its in my blood, living together with elderly under one roof. I do respect and adore them. I worked as a caregiver for more than 15yrs. I can do most of everything like bathing, cleaning, hair done, medication, transferring, use hoyer lift and much more. I took care a wonderful elderly lady she was 113 years young. She passed away on the 29th of July 2015. I believe she is the oldest person in the Monterey Peninsula. I have the most experience from this gorgeous lovely lady.
Having worked in various health care professions, I find it a passion of mine to work with our elderly senior populations. I have both professional and personal experience working with loved ones who may be suffering from Diabetes, requiring assistance with meal preparations, running errands, and providing positive companionship with someone who suffers from Dementia & Alzheimer's Disease. I am proud to say that I am an honorable person who truly cares about anyone they work with, and I will always treat all individuals I provide care for as if they are my own family.
1) I am a compassionate person and greatly care to improve the environment to assist the client. 2) It is a rewarding experience to see the client flourish with the care that is being provided. 3) Challenging myself to develop new skills daily. 4) I greatly appreciate an ethical, healthy, and encouraging environment both as a team player and as a care provider.
1. I became a caregiver through the inspiration of my late mother. She was in a vegetative state for almost 2 yrs. due to massive stroke. Reinvented myself from working in the corporate world (banking) to moving in the healthcare field. It's a different experience where one found joy and accomplishment working with the elderly. My salary rate is negotiable depending on client's needs. 2. Being a caregiver is very personal to me.. My focus is always to deal with the well-being & safety of my client. 3. Being a caregiver entails a lot of patience, compassion and experience to be able to understand every client's specific needs. . I try to keep a balance of everything I do to maintain my physical and psychological well-being. 4. I consider myself as energetic, strong-willed and resourceful. In my former job I was the lead CNA supervising 3 caregivers working 12 hrs. shift 24/7 in our client's own home. My relationship with my client & the family I've worked with has been very pleasant. Blessed to work with families that trust my work ethics and the care I provide for their loved ones.
I became a cna because my great grandma who raised me became a diabetic and had to have both of her legs amputated. I was around 11or 12. She learned how to walk with new prostetics and her walker. Also I had to administer her insulin at times. She passed shortly after I turned 18. I dedicated my life to her.

1. I feel that it is my gift and my calling, and I want to use my talents to bless others. 2. At the end of the day, I feel accomplished if I've helped those around me who need me to be there for them whether it be an emotional or physical need. 3. One of my biggest achievements and joys was being able to be there with both of my parents at the end of their lives to provide the loving care and meet their every need. Something I will always be proud of is the fact that neither of my parents had to be taken care of by anybody but their daughter. 4. I am a woman who loves to be with her family. I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking and spending time with my daughters. I am always looking to learn new things because I have a strong belief that it's important to keep learning to stay young. One of my learning adventures included becoming a state certified ombudsman and using that talent to visit local nursing facilities. The more I spend time in these nursing homes, the more I want to help the elderly be able to stay in their homes and receive care in their own environment.
I have been working in the medical field for over 25 years..I became a caregiver to my first clientt in 2011 and soon realized I was meant to do Caregiving to our Special Seniors or whomever may need this type of care .My first client eventually was in a nursing home for a period of 1 month. During that time, I had the desire to return to school and became a CNA. I truly enjoyed all the training and the experience that I received. I acquired a job with Visiting Angels in 2013. I have had some awesome experiences working with our senior citizens. I also have a daughter who is now 18 and has had a medical condition since she was 5 months old. I believe all of the experiences that I have had help me to be a very compassionate caregiver to my clients and my clients family. I at times have stayed in touch with family members even after their loved one has passed away. I have been working as a Nursing Assistant at our local Hospital for over a year and a half..I Love my position in taking care of those who need help while in the hospital..My daughter is now 20 and my oldest 23..Each BLESS my life daily!!

When I am working as a caregiver my first priority is to make sure that the patient is get what she/he wants. But it's depends from the situation. For example if the patient have a hard time getting up I have to make sure to help the patient to avoid falling.I enjoy being a caregiver because I treat the patient with love and respect. When the patient happy I am happy when they feel sad I feel sad.I been a caregiver for 10+ years, also I have experience in many areas eg,meds, meals prepare, shower, exercise.
When I think about helping someone as a caregiver, I remember two things; inside every 80 year old is a 20 year old that still wants to dance, and how would I want to be treated if I had to go through what this person that has lived such a long and extraordinary life has to go through today would I want someone to treat me.
