I try to improve quality of life through adaptive progressive strategies. what attracted me to become a caregiver was helping to care for my grandmother and my mother, it made me feel good to be able to help them. Hello, my name is Xochi, a flower in the Aztec language. However, my middle name is Amy, which is easier to remember. I have been told often that I have a big heart and compassion for others. I have been previously in the social work field for the last twenty-five years. But what came next has impacted my life and led me to the decision I am much happier in the caregiver field. I was raised by my single mother and grandmother, who passed away a year from one another in 2019 and 2020. I had the privilege to care for and be there for them both, which I see as a personal achievement. Then the light bulb went on, and I never returned to my previous job. Today, I help the seniors and disabled in my neighborhood and care for my two senior citizens, four four-legged family members, Boy a Jack Russell Bread, 16 years old, and Darla Carolina, 17.

I'm a very patient and compassionate caregiver. As someone who was a caregiver to my own mother; I know how it feels to find the right caregiver. It's not easy, and as a caregiver I want to give the best personal care and meet my clients needs as best that i am able to. I have been a caregiver for 20+ years. I have to come to the realization that my calling is to be a caregiver- comforting those that need the most help, a small gesture of compassion and a lending heart go a long way. I'm compassionate, caring, dependable and reliable. Not having a grandparent and being able to experience working with elderly people make me feel close to having one. Spending time with my client being able to talk to them listen to their stories and comfort them when they are feeling sad or lonely. Working with a client that has dementia or Alzheimer's and feels threatened by my presence. After introducing myself and talking to them and showing them that I'm no threat or mean any harm ti them they begin to trust me and we get along just well. I am experienced in all equipment and gadgets for the handicapped, able to transfer weights 150/170 without chains, personal hygiene is a must. Can also do repairs (handyman) work inside and outside. from vacuuming to roof repair. I'm a believer in GOD. About to Celebrate 6yrs Clean + Sober in July. With everything I've done in my life as far as employment hands down Care Provider and House Cleaner Are #1 + #2 Care Provider is so rewarding for myself and hopefully rewarding for My clients.
