I have been a caregiver 18 years and completely love my job. I have worked in a few facilities as a(cna) but I love to provide care in home working one on one with my client. I take pride in going that extra mile to make my client and there family happy. I have a very flexible schedule which opens me to varies shifts . I'm filled with great joy when taking care of others, we can never imagine what life may bring or when we may need to be cared for ourselves. I have worked as a care Provider for 15 years with the elderly.I enjoy the work because it is rewarding to me and also challenging,you get out of it what you put into it,you have to love the elderly first of all,you must be very patient and understanding,but most of all it takes alot of compassion.You are dealing with people,who have put into society,who have finally come to a point in their lives where they are in need of our help,to take care of them,and to let them know that they still do make a difference and are very important in society still. We can learn a great deal from these people and make a positive impact in their lives. ,they have alot to teach us with there wisdom and knowledge .And when you are dealing with the elderly,you are dealing with their illness also,and thats whats very important.

I'm outgoing friendly and have over 8 years of caregiving experience. I enjoy sewing, reading, music, and good company. I'm Christian and am a firm believer in loving God and others. I took care of my grandma when I was growing up and my little brother.

I have tremendous empathy, patience and respect for each client. I treat each one as I do my father, whom I have been caring for the last 7years.Before caregiving, I managed restaurants for 23 years. I have ALWAYS been a customer service focused person. I wanted to make a change that fulfilled my heart. The thing I enjoy most about my job is assisting people with retaining their independence and self respect, even with a disability. Everyone needs to feel productive, like they contribute. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is that in the last year I have gotten my dad into the best mental, nutritional health that he has been in in the last 30 years.

As a person I am very loving,dependable, carrying,and compassionate about my job and the people I work for. I've been working in this field for 8+ years 2 years with dementia and Alzheimer. I want to make sure my client is happy, satisfied with me and with my job towards the individual; I also can be trusted in anyway, shape, or form. I care alot about what i do because I want to be a good role model toward people around me and toward my kids. I truly believe to be an excellent caregiver you must put the clients needs & feelings first. I strive to make sure all my clients maintain their sense of normalcy and dignity. I have experience with caregiving for clients that are under the age of 10 & over the age of 80. On a personal note: I was my mothers caregiver for the last 2 years of her life. She was on & off of hospice while she battled a liver & lung disease. Currently, I'm a Respite Worker for clients that have a range of health issues. (Downs Syndromes, Deafness, Autism Spectrum Disorder) I have completed my Senior Caregiver training required by the state of California to attain a license as a home care aide. I have also completed several Carelinx education courses & I am open to taking any class my client might request. My goal is for future clients & their families to feel ease of mind that I am a capable caregiver.
