I have years of personal family experience as well as volunteering at old folks/Alzheimers units. I've also worked in dietary at a skilled nursing home. My personal passion is just caring and keeping folks comfortable in possibly their last days with respect and dignity

I am a compassionate and thoughtful individual. I am reliable and always think about others needs before my own. My mother has done assisted living for many years and I follower in her foot steps, my first job with elderly care was at age 15.i enjoy the fact that I am able to ease a human beings suffering and difficulty. I have achieved college, cna training and phlebotomy all while raising two children on my own.

I am a mother of 5, grew up second oldest of 5 with a very large family. That being said I have been taught and learned patience and understanding. I have a love for people and a great need to help them to the best of my abilities. I have a listening ear, caring heart, great head on my shoulders and strive to help others. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being there for those who either don't have anyone or feel like all hope is lost and that they don't have anyone because people don't understand the life change we go through as we grow. What attracted me most was having the skills and heart to be able to understanding and outwork in this field, having the patience and skill set from my bring up to provide care in all scenarios for being a caregiver. I'm most proud of myself for the heart and hard work I put into everything I set out to do. I'm a firm believer if you think it's just a job it's not for you, so do something you will enjoy and be proud of. And to me that's taking care of the ones in need.

I have cared for my elderly grandmother, my mother who has Lupas also lives with me and I currently work as a care attendant for a brain injury patient. I love being a caregiver and seeing the smiles of the patients, knowing that I have helped them in some way! Just like working for the school as a para in the life skills classroom!
