I am a care giver at heart! I have always been the nurturer of the family. I have 17+ yrs experience with caring for the elderly. 13 of those years specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care. I learned from my previous residents' that it's important to have a sense of humor in this field of work, which I can think I'm a comedian some days! I never knew this work was meant for me until it just fell into my lap one day and was told by many I was a natural. I find it very rewarding seeing my patient's happy, see someone relieved of their pain, or just making that special bond or friendship after earning their trust. Whether it be just for a moment in each day, to see that I made my patient's life a little bit easier for them-makes caregiving so worthwhile. Something I have achieved would be staying in this field of work for so many years. There are people that simply aren't capable of doing the "dirty work" that comes with the job title. I can admit sometimes there will be "bad days,"but will always realize that at the end of the day- the good outweighs the bad....

Though I currently am not 1st sure and CPR certified I have been taking g these classes over 30 yrs.I worked with the mentally and physically disabled for 30yrs. I'm a very compassionate and understanding individual. My interests are psychology, sociology and science. I've come to understand the importance of our elders and their needs through me taking care of my grandparents. I've grown to see their importance and I've seen how people can struggle to balance work and family. I can tell you that it's hard but with the right help it can get easier and I'm here to help.

I really enjoy helping and taking care of people, and I get a long with everyone, I'm super nice, and I don't let much get to me. I have 2 kids, one is a girl she is 12, and a boy he is 7. I helped take care of my dad he is a paraplegic I helped with physical therapy, feeding him, giving him a drink when he needed it, and helped mom with whatever she needed. My Aunt she had diabetes had some skin cut out I helped her through that, and my cousin he had a colostomy bag and helped his mom and him through that. I learn very quickly, especially when it's hands on,

I'm really great with my clients. I make sure they are taken care of and have what they need every time I'm with them and before I leave I always ask them if there is anything else they need before I leave.

I feel I'm an up beat, positive person. I am very kind & caring naturally, it's just who I am & what I do. Doesn't matter if I'm working or not. I love helping people just in general being able to build friendships & making peoples life a little easier daily makes me happy. I feel am very lucky to be able to wake up & help make a persons day a little happier just by being there for them and helping them out. One of my favorite parts of caregiving is getting to meet all the different types of people & hear their different life stories. My greatest accomplishments I'm most proud of in life would be my 2 amazing kids.

Very outgoing, time management, understanding and giving! My grandparents had health issues so I started going over everyday and helping them. I loved doing that! They are in heaven now and I want to continue to help people who are in need. It makes me feel like I can make a difference one person at a time

My personality traits are a honest hadd working young man that cares about every person im am helping I give the best care possible to all the people I take care of make sure there safe and get the food they want to eat I worked in many restaurants so I'm very experienced in safe clean environments I want to be a caregiver because I care alot about the older generation there very wise and deserve someone to take care of them and make sure they get food and taken proper care of at all times I enjoyed being a care giver because I can see a positive impact I make on there life's.im very proud that I was able to take care of my grandpa because he had passed because he really needed it im blessed to be able to help.

I am a positive and extremely hard-working caregiver. I have been live-out care taking for several years and am currently live-in care taking part time for a close relative. I enjoy assisting others to feel secure and happy in their daily lives, most especially when that would not be possible without care. I see personally the difference caregiving can make in an individual's mental and physical well-being every day and am determined to share this with more individuals in need.
