i want to be a care giver because I love to help people. when someone is sick, it make me happy to know that helped them get better, and be more comfortable. l've always love to take care of people all ages, but the elderly hold a special place in my heart
I am a former special education teacher with 38 years of experience. I left to be home more often with my 85-year-old father who lived with me and had dementia as well as other health concerns. He was the love of my life and I was determined to keep him home with me, but I needed to have some steady income. Prior to my father's passing a year ago, I took care of my mother as well. She had vascular dementia secondary to diabetes as well as other health concerns and was a very difficult person; however, my parents always took excellent care of me and now it was my turn to pay them back rather than turn my back. I was lucky to be in position to do this.
I cooked, cleaned, did laundry, med management, took them to doctor appointments as far away as Hartford, administered weekly blood tests for INR levels, consulted with all agencies as needed (and took all phone calls) as well as every other aspect of running a household and managing a person's life. I loved every minute of it, although it was not without its challenges! I do believe that I can be a valuable asset to you.
My compassion for the infirmed/disabled individuals both young & old has compelled me to seek my CNA in 1987 in RI. Loosing my mother at a young age made me feel 'helpless' to prevent/assist her in her time of need. I give the kind of care that I would want if in their position/situation. This is fulfilling in various ways as I form relationships w/clients. A unique 'accomplishment' was helping w/hospice in CA in transitioning clients towards readiness for dying without feeling alone/lonely. My feelings are genuine & sincere, I am confident, reliable, and respect the rights of others.
My company would best fit for this job because we provide quality service and guarantee professionalism and safety for our clients. We are registered and licenced with the state of connecticut and as our motto states; healing hands, caring hearts. Give us this opportunity, as we await your response.
Sunshine Elderly Care, LLC
II believe I am a good care giver because I have so much respect and love for people. I take pride in making the little things important to them, remembered.
I am a mostly a jolly fellow, I love to laugh (best medicine). I am also very patient which I have being told in multiple occasions. I believe if one is to take time to help someone they should do so wholeheartedly, without expecting anything in return. I don't believe in the saying, "I'm having a bad day."
Caring for the elderly with compassion and respect is second nature. Sixteen grandchildren of which I am a part of took care of our 98 year old grandmother since I was a little girl. Through those years, a deep sense of commitment to provide dignified care was developed among us in the family. My guiding principle in providing care is that it will same quality of care I would give my loved ones. Everyday, a smile and sunshine in heart of my client is my only humble goal.
I love being a caregiver i have a heart for the elderly. I started working as a caregiver over a year ago and i absolutly love it. I enjoy helping others and assisting to their needs. I am a motivated and outgoing person and i like to have fun and keep my clients as comfortable as possiable.
I have been working with clients of diverse conditions for the past 5 years. Most of my clients are the elderly with varying degrees of mental decline and medical issues. I have the necessary medical background to do non-invasive procedures and give excellent, standard care. Being a caregiver gives me fulfillment of being able to contribute to the quality of life one deserves either in that stage when one is in ill or elderly. Part of my caregiving is also meaningful companionship; such that it is more enjoyable for both parties. When you make an impact in the life of your client and his/her family in terms of making them understand the dynamics of the illness and its corresponding effects, it creates a bridge in the gap of the fear of the unknown.
These are just the tip of the iceberg so to speak, Caring is part of me and my culture. It is a part of life.
