I've been caring for elderly for about 15 years. Started with my grandma and having her tell me thank you so much and being appreciative of the small things I would do to make her smile did it for me. That's when I grew the passion to care for others. I love taking care to elderly as if they were my grandparents. I always make sure I give it that extra 110%!

My years of experience started as child careing for my younger siblings. As I matured my passion turn twards seniors for they wisdom and care they give to me as a young abult . In elementary my school nurse became my mentor ,I use to spend every break in the nurses office watching and admiring her as she Passionately care for the children's. I enjoy the smile on a person face after being cared for. My ability to adopte to new environment and new people.

I became a caregiver because I like working with the elderly. I learn a lot just by listen to them talking about their lives. My achievement would be owning my own home. I started out taking a class on medical billing. I later went to Concord to get a medical assistant degree. I then took a class on phlebotomy. After all that I decided I wanted to be a nurse.

I have been doing private home health care for over 15 years . I enjoy help others and taking care of people . I took care of my own father for the last 10 years of his life . I still take care of my mother . I like seeing them smile and happy . Being a caregiver is a wonderful feeling to me knowing I am helping others.

I believe my most useful qualities in this role are patience and kindness. In my role as a caregiver in a group home for the elderly, I was frequently the only attending caregiver on my floor for evening shift. I had one gentleman who would always buzz me to attend to him, but because he was experiencing memory loss and dementia, when I arrived he would forget he just buzzed me for the same thing. I always showed him kindness and patience, and as a result, he requested me as his caregiver when he left the group home to live with a family member.

I am a hard working Mom with 3 kids. I am a fast learner and I am willing to learn new skills that will help me in my career. As a caregiver/ CNA, I strive to be personable, compassionate & reliable. I have worked in Elderly Assisted Care Homes, and have worked in one- on- one home care . Provided care including bathing, meals, exercises, personal grooming and shopping. I also provided companionship to doctor appointments, personal errands, and provided care during hospital stays. I work with Alzheimer & Dementia patients with daily living activities, i. e. bathing, meals, laundry. I was responsible for daily reports of patient activities during shift. I find great pleasure in providing companionship, and making a difference in a persons life. I believe in treating my patients as though they are my own family. I came from the Philippines and I speak both English and Tagalog fluently.
