I have been a live-in caregiver since 2012. I started working in a nursing home when I was 17 years old, and in 2012 I wanted to do more for the elderly, so I became a live- in caregiver so my clients could be in the comfort of their own home. Friendship and becoming a part of their family. Keeping my clients safe, and building a personal bond with them.

I am a mother of 3 children (& multiple God children) and a grandma of 6 (as well as multiple God Grandkids!) I always have a house full of kids! I worked in the healthcare field for years. I love working with children as well as elderly and disabled people. I have worked in Nursing homes, group homes, hospitals, and State facilities taking care of children, elderly people as well Developmentally Disabled and Mentally I'll individuals. I am a people person and love to work with people! I am very dependable and I am a very fast learner. I listen to the needs and concerns of the individual(s) that I am taking care of (working for) and I try to take care of everything asked of me. I address concerns immediately and try to resolve them (or ease them) to the best of my ability! I love to have fun. I am a home body, I don't party. I am excellent with children and children seem to really like me. I can cook, clean, give medicine if needed, swim, go to the park, take children to extra curricular activities, give baths, and put to bed with a bedtime story if that's what needed. I've done it all!!

I am a very friendly and dependable person. I care greatly about others and would like to do what I can to help. I am the oldest of 7 kids and I was always very close with my grandmother's. I have experience caring for all ages. I really enjoy being able to create connections and relationships with others, and I love seeing others Succeed and happy. I am very proud of moving out of my mother's house at 19, I experienced many setbacks with COVID-19 going on while I was graduating, but I still managed to find my own place and I've been living on my own for over a year now.

I'm a very caring person and like to go above and beyond for a client when possible. I care about the elderly, as I took care if my mom for 10 yrs in her home and have worked in the nursing home environment for 13 years and learned so much even though I wasn't a CNA. I love to help people, I helped my grandmother with everything from getting her dressed to keeping her company. My mother used to be a caregiver and I would go with her to help her with her patients. Helping people even do the simplest tasks is what I love to do.

I feel like there is a purpose for everyone in this world, and in my life, one of my purposes is to care for people in need no matter what it may be. I love being told I am a great worker or being told I make a difference in someone's life. One personal achievement I am proud of is graduating CNA class, and going on to further my career in the medical field. I am a hard worker. What makes me a great caregiver: I became a CNA at a young age, which gave me lots to learn about caring for someone that needed spezilised care. I learn how my clients like things done and I do the best I can for them. I give 110% in everything I do. Why did I become a caregiver: I became a caregiver because I realized that I could connect with the disabled or the seniors to a degree to understand what they need and how they want task completed. Its important to allow somebody to have their choice in how they live their lives. What do you like about being a caregiver: I greatly enjoy sitting down with a client and learning about how they grew up, and what they enjoyed doing with their time. Most people don't like doing the "dirty work" that comes with being a CNA but it gives me pleasure to know that I helped that person have a better day or helped them look how they would like. I enjoy boosting self-esteem because it greatly impacts how a persons health is. What is a personal achievement you're proud of: I'm proud of myself when I can handle a difficult situation that most people would give up in. I can handle stressful situations with an excellent attitude which allows me and the client to connect. I think its most important when a client trust you, it makes their day go by easier and it helps me to get to know them on a better note.

I have been a caregiver for over 20 years and enjoy doing it. I like hearing the stories they have to tell. I have excellent references.
